Day 3 in Wien!!!
OK...now i have some time to post...before today we only had internet cafes to go to use the computer...and they cost 3 euros for a half hour...So we got here on Sunday at 9 am which would have been 3 am your time...we road the metro and the trolley to where we are staying...it was pretty warm....it has gotten a little colder now...the place we are staying at is kind of neat...there is a bakery right downstairs so every night and morning you can smell the bread...yum.....the first night we decided to take the trolley down towards the center of the city and look for somewhere to eat...as we were walking down the sidewalk by the Grand Hotel this man was walking towards us...he was wearing a pinstripe suit with one of those fancy hats...he looked totally gangster mafia ish....and he starred at Jaime as he was coming towards us...when he got about two feet away from her he did this little pucker sound and dashed his cigarette that was in his hand outward....I think that was to tell Jaime that she is magnific! haha...it was hilarious! School started yesterday and it is definately hard....they will not speak English and expect us to catch on quickly....ain't happenin'! Jaime and I think they would however be excellent charades players! People around here also don't understand sarcasm...rude awakening for Jaime and I! haha....we went to the Billa yesterday after class which is the grocery store and when we were going through the checkout the lady started saying stuff to us...and we didn't understand her and she didn't understand us...so she just got angry and threw our fruit on the other belt thing and we couldn't get it...turns out you need to put a sticker on it or something...damn woman freaked out...so we called her Miss I-need-to-pluck-my-eyebrows....it worked out well cause she didn't know what we were saying then....so far I'm not in jail...anyone surprised yet? We then went last night to the heart of the city...it was really nice to have Robbie G. (our chaperone) with us...this man knows alot about the city....We say this beautiful catholic church that was called St. Stevens in English....standing back looking at it it didn't look 3D...it was amazing...we then proceeded to the BermÜda Triec/Bermuda Triangle...which is the night life of Vienna....we went to a bar called Cactus...note to all for future reference they don't have Tequila Rose....or anything like that...also we had men in wall to wall denim talk to us who didn't know much English and kissed my hand when I left....they have so many cultural traditions that you should know so your not rude....like whenever you walk in a restaurant you should say Gooten Tague/Good day....even if you don't see anyone....before you eat your suppose to say Gooten Apetit and everyone is suppose to reply Danka! I'm not real sure if I'm spelling this all correctly but you get the jist! And when someone Broast/Toast you should keep eye contact while your clinking glasses and not look at them...all in all I'm learning tons here! Insane! But it's all fun....I miss you all...and feel free to e-mail me even though you don't get responses...I don't get enough time to do this all...sorry! Oh and by the way....we get three porn channels and every infomercial after 10 pm is porn! haha...we watch it and laugh...definately and educational experience! Later dudes!
